Sophie Turner the star of Game of Thrones, Joe Jonas in a
private, second wedding in the South of France
tied the knot in a traditional lace dress by the luxury French fashion house. This
photo shows that the dress featured a cut-out back, long lace sleeves, and a
full cascading skirt covered in sparkling embellishments with white floral
appliqués to complete her look designed by Nicolas Ghesquière, the director of Louis
Vuitton’s Artistic. 350 hours of craftsmanship by more than 10
embroiderers were needed to create the pattern of over 650,000 stitches on the
bride’s 14 meters of embroidered tulle using floral patterned thread.

Following Katherine Schwarzenegger and Chris Pratt’s wedding at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California on June 8, the world was blessed with a look at their custom Giorgio Armani ensembles when the newlyweds took to Instagram to share their joy.
In identical
posts on their respective Instagram accounts, Schwarzenegger and Pratt thanked
Armani for creating a “once in a lifetime dress” and “the perfect suit” for
their special day.
In a press
release, the designer confirmed that Schwarzenegger walked down the aisle in a
custom Armani Privé white crinoline lace bustier column gown, and Pratt in a
Giorgio Armani made-to-measure navy wool suit with a matching vest.
The bride accessorised her look with a short veil, which she wore with her mother’s longer tulle veil, and her grandmother’s earrings.
“For them and for the bridal
party, I designed elegant and sophisticated outfits, that would highlight their
radiant personalities,” he added, confirming he was also responsible for the
looks worn by the nine groomsmen, six bridesmaids, flower girl, maid of honour,
and Pratt’s six-year-old son, Jack.
4. Lauren Burnham and Arie Luyendyk Jr.
“Lauren’s gown was
created from a very romantic and imaginative place,” designer Hayley Paige told about
the stunning sleeveless gown with floral
embellishments. “I love that she's now expecting because that, honestly, did
not impact the design at all.
I really wanted it to just be something that felt true to her and from her original vision. That was special.” Her headpiece was created by Lindsay Marie Design.
Those elements
included a shimmering A-like silhouette that could accommodate her burgeoning
baby bump (the couple is expecting their first child, a girl, in June), a
plunging crystal neckline, small train and floral embellishment.
“I love the playful harmony of femininity and gentility,” the
designer shared. “This is actually a new color for us and selected by Lauren
herself. Seeing how she [got] married at the famous Maui sugar mill, we shall
title this the Haiku colorway going forward!”
5. Lea Michele and Zandy Reich
The actress walked down the aisle in a custom Monique Lhuillier
dress fit for a princess.
She chose a strapless gown with structural sweetheart neckline and silk gazar draped over the corset-style bodice. The voluminous hand-tufted skirt and cathedral-length veil made from hand-appliquéd lace created the ultimate fairytale silhouette.
Michele and
Lhuillier worked closely for nine months throughout the design process. “Working
with Lea was an absolute dream,” Lhuillier says “I’ve had the pleasure of
dressing her through the years, so when she asked me to design her wedding gown
I was truly honored. Lea is a fashion girl and knows what works on her. She
came with a vision and together we made it a reality.”
6. Michelle Branch and Patrick Carney
The event took place at the Marigny Opera House, where the
couple was surrounded by friends and family including their eight-month old son
Rhys and Branch's 13-year-old daughter.
Bride walked down the aisle in a bohemian-style wedding dress with intricate lace detailing,
her hair in loose waves that cascaded down her bare shoulders. They had planned to wed in 2018, but when they found out they
were expecting baby Rhys just three months before their wedding date, they
decided to hold out until 2019.
7. Gina Rodriguez and Joe LoCicero
Rodriguez got married in a satin mermaid wedding dress by Spanish brand Pronovias."Satin is drawn over this lovely and sensual
mermaid wedding dress with a draped neckline," Pronovias says of its
Ribelia gown. "A very feminine, very sexy and very romantic design. The
spaghetti straps descend delicately from the shoulder to merge with the back. A
design with a very long train and lots of movement that makes you seem to
float."
8. Jax
Taylor and Brittany Cartwright
Brittany
Cartwright wore a dress definitely fit for a princess: the gown,
designed by Netta BenShabu, turned into three different looks throughout the course of the event.
She found the dress while filming an episode of the hit Bravo
reality show, but made sure producers stopped filming the intimate moment.
The dress that Cartwright said yes to was a strapless sweetheart
style Netta BenShabu beaded gown, featuring
a pearl-covered bodice. But with the help of the team of seamstresses at
Kinsley James Couture, the gown was transformed into a 3-in-1 convertible
wedding dress for her ceremony, reception and afterparty.
